Overflowing with Gratitude

Yesterday, we celebrated the season of Thanksgiving with a service that
was filled with interaction and meaning. During the message, we were
given opportunities to express gratitude. During the second interactive
time, we were all encouraged to prepare a thank-you or contact someone
to say thanks. It was amazing to see the kids at the back busying
themselves creating thank you cards with paper and crayons. It was also
cool to see people walking around the Worship Center talking to each
other, sharing hugs and expressing thanks.

One of the things that for me stuck out the most was the "Garden of
Prayer" basket. The congregation had been encouraged to bring forward
their personal thanks to God and, as you can see by the picture, the
basket was filled to overflowing! How cool is that! Even in these
tough times of job loss, home foreclosures and illness, we are still
able to praise God for His blessings. That's a great way to worship!
